The scoring engine is based on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s published Comprehensive Ranking System criteria. Language-test guidance is checked against IRCC’s accepted-test and equivalency information.
Calculation approach
Inputs are converted into core/human-capital, accompanying-partner, skill-transferability and additional-factor subtotals. Section caps are applied before the final total. Current logic reflects the removal of job-offer CRS points on March 25, 2025.
Testing and review
Automated scoring checks cover representative profiles, spouse and non-spouse limits, transferability caps, French awards and the 1,200-point overall limit. We review the official criteria when IRCC announces a scoring change and show the last review date on the calculator and guides.
Limitations
This tool estimates CRS points; it does not determine Express Entry program eligibility, verify documents, assess admissibility, predict invitation cutoffs or provide legal advice. The official result is the one calculated by IRCC from a submitted profile.
Corrections
If a published table or calculation appears inconsistent with Canada.ca, contact the site operator and include the page, factor and official source. Material corrections should update both the calculator logic and the corresponding guide.
