Preparation costs paid outside IRCC
- Language test: the test provider sets the Pakistan fee.
- ECA: the designated organization sets assessment and delivery charges.
- Medical examination: the approved panel physician sets local charges.
- Police certificates and civil documents: charges depend on issuing authorities and document needs.
- Translations and certification: cost varies by document count and provider.
- VAC and courier services: optional or local service charges may apply in addition to biometrics.
How to estimate the amount in PKR
Use the card issuer or bank’s CAD-to-PKR rate on the expected payment date, then add any foreign transaction or conversion charge. A static PKR figure becomes inaccurate quickly, so this guide keeps official fees in CAD. For planning only:

Settlement funds are not a fee
Eligible Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades candidates may need accessible settlement funds. The current IRCC minimum begins at CAD 15,263 for one family member, CAD 19,001 for two and CAD 23,360 for three. You keep this money; it is not paid to IRCC. The amount is updated periodically and must match family size.
Fraud warning
Pay government fees through the IRCC account or the official process instructed by IRCC. A request to transfer a “guaranteed PR fee” to an individual, personal wallet or unofficial account is a warning sign.
