Why CLB 9 is a major threshold

For education and foreign-work combinations, reaching CLB 9 in every first-language ability can double an award from 25 to 50. One ability below CLB 9 places the combination in the lower column.

How the 100-point cap works

Education combinations can provide up to 50. Foreign-work combinations can provide up to 50. A trade-certificate combination can provide up to 50. However, the full skill-transferability section cannot exceed 100 points.
